Saying goodbye: Vidic wanted a two-year contract to stay at United
Nemanja Vidic decided to leave Manchester United because they only offered him a one year contract – not the two year deal he asked for, writes Steve Bates of the Sunday People.
There were concerns about the 31-year-old defender’s reliability, with him showing signs of wear and tear after eight years in the Premier League, and that made the Old Trafford giants reluctant to offer him more than one more year.

Jose Mourinho told his Chelsea players that they would win the title this season before playing down their chances in public, writes Dean Jones of the Sunday People.
Boss Mourinho ruled out his Blues after the win at Manchester City, claiming they were "little horses" up against the Etihad thoroughbreds.
But Sunday People Sport can reveal that Mourinho, who saw Eden Hazard’s hat-trick against Newcastle put Chelsea top of the Premier League, warned his team about what he would say in the media – and that he does not believe a word of it.
In an almost identical speech to one he made to his players during his first spell at Chelsea, he told them he expects them to be champions.

T-Pain dropped a remix to Lorde’s popular “Royals” last week, and today he returns with original music on “I Got It,” featuring fellow auto-tune singer Akon and 2Face.
For those unfamiliar, 2Face, better known as 2Face Idibia, is a Nigerian artist who is one of the biggest in the hip-pop sphere out in Africa. How does he mesh with Akon and T-Pain? We haven’t seen Akon and T-Pain together in a minute either, and they’ve chosen to collaborate on a track with a pretty positive message.
T-Pain has been keeping the fans satisified lately, apart from his single “Up Down” being a radio success, he’s delivered the street-oriented “Fuck Em” as well as “Fresh Prince.” Enjoy the download.

Liverpool can’t be ruled out of Premier League title race after destroying Arsenal

Liverpool can’t be ruled out of Premier League title race after destroying Arsenal

As true as the song rang around Anfield, Liverpool’s 20 minute onslaught was described as one of the best spells in Premier League history.
And it wasn’t necessarily that Arsenal were poor, Liverpool’s play just made them look it.
A 1-0 lead against the league leaders would have been quite satisfactory enough, but the recent home spark continued as the Reds just exploded into action.
The speed, skill, and overall quality of their play made Arsenal look like a completely average side, and made it impossible for pundits to rule them out as title contenders.
It was 3-0 before the SAS even got involved, which just shows how each and every player was significant in contributing to arguably the best team performance of the season.
Raheem Sterling was once again a contender for MOTM, and how he played today highlighted just how much he’s grown in the past few months.
He was quoted as saying this week how he was once intimidated by the star presence of Luis Suarez, but having the confidence to skip past one after another in such a strong defence is unbelievable for someone who has just turned 19.
