FORBIDDEN IN GOD'S HOUSE: A US preacher has banned women from wearing weaves in church
AN AMERICAN pastor has told his female staff not to attend his church wearing weaves.
According to Clutch magazine, A.J. Aamir, from the Resurrecting Faith church in Waco, Texas, reports he believes that women who wear weaves present a false representation of themselves.
The preacher has reportedly suggested that the use of weaves reflect low self-esteem, and that he plans on counselling the women in his congregation against it.
He told AmericanPreachers.com: “Our black women are getting weaves trying to be something and someone they are not. Be real with yourself.”
Raised a Muslim, Aamir says he’s sick of seeing his congregation displaying fake hair and glamour products, especially if they cannot actually afford the expense.
