President Kenyatta Welcomes ICC Decision
President Uhuru Kenyatta is contented with Friday's ruling by the international criminal court excusing him from being continuously present during his trial scheduled to begin on 12th of November. The director of political affairs in the office of the president Joshua Kutuny told Citizen TV that indeed that was the prayer by the president to the ICC. Kutuny added that the president has been lobbying with various heads of states, particularly those with veto powers at the un security council over the need to have him tried in absentia so as to be able to continue discharging his mandate as president.
