Nigeria Minister of Youth Development Sacked


President Goodluck Jonathan today sacked the Minister of Youth Development, Inuwa Abdulkadir, with immediate effect. The sack of the minister who was appointed last year was announced through a statement from the office of the Secretary to the Government of the Federation. The release ordered the minister to hand over to the Permanent Secretary of the Federal Ministry of Youth Development.

Abdulkadir was appointed last year to replace former Minister of Sports, Alhaji Yusuf Suliemanwho resigned his ministerial appointment to enable him contest the Sokoto State gubernatorial election then. Both the governor of Sokoto, Aliyu Wamakko and House of Reps Speaker, Aminu Waziri Tambuwal also from the seat of caliphate are opposed to the second term ambition of President Goodluck Jonathan in 2015.The statement terminating the minister’s appointment reads: “His Excellency Dr. Goodluck Ebele Jonathan, GCFR President and Commander –in-Chief of the Armed Forces, Federal Republic of Nigeria has relieved Inuwa Abdul-kadir, Esq of his appointment as Honourable Minister of Youth Development with effect from the 26th of August, 2013.
The former Minister is to hand over to the Permanent Secretary of the Federal Ministry of Youth Development.
Mr. President expresses appreciation to the Former Minister for the time he put in the services of the nations and wishes him success in his future endeavours.
